Noticed

San Francisco, California

I was walking back to Union Square after checking out the Moon Festival in Chinatown. Where the Stockton tunnel ends at Bush there is a nice, elevated view of the street. It was from here that I spotted this great looking couple waiting at a bus stop. I was trying to sneak a shot, but as I pushed the shutter release the girl looked right up at me. This turned out to be a stroke of luck, as I think the image is stronger with her engaging the viewer.

As for the processing, there is a lot going on here. Using some plugins from OnOne, I worked with a cross-process filter until I got the color where I wanted it. I also applied some selective focus to help draw the eye to the couple and, quite honestly, help mask the overall lack of sharpness in the image.
