Superstitions II

Apache Junction, Arizona

This was taken at The Lost Dutchman State Park just outside of Apache Junction Arizona.  I shot this with my wide-angle lens to stretch the foreground and hopefully add some interest.  The elongated shadows of the cacti, just out of frame, help break up the foreground.   The short focal length also helped to separate the different peaks and faces of the mountain.  I think it was somewhat successful and this shot remains one of my favorites of the day.

The Shot:

Canon 400D | Sigma 10-20mm | Focal Length: 10mm | ISO: 100 | Exposure: 1/8 second @ f/22
