Superstitions V

May 14, 2011 at 03:37pm PST

Apache Junction, Arizona

I liked this vantage point for a very important reason…three feet behind me was a bench! This afforded me a place to sit, kick up my feet and enjoy the view for a bit. As I sat there I noticed the lines of rocks along the path. Why would someone section off certain areas of the path? Who had piled up the rocks? Did I really just go for a walk in the desert with and leave my water in the car? At any rate, I thought the path made for an interesting lead to the mountain.

To separate the path from the brush, and help further draw the eye along, I converted the image to black and white using Silver Efex Pro 2.

The Shot:

Canon 400D | Sigma 17-70mm | Focal Length: 19mm | ISO: 100 | Exposure: 1/40 second @ f/20
